A treehouse and an Eames lounge chair and ottoman. What more could a girl want?

Last night, we had dinner at one of my new favorites, The Meatball Shop, in the LES. If you haven't been before, I recommend the sliders because they are a great way to sample whats on the menu. I had two of the specials, last night - lamb meatballs with pesto sauce and the beet risotto with mushrooms. And the ice cream sandwiches are out of this world. You customize your ice cream sandwich by picking the cookie and the ice cream. I like the caramel ice cream and peanut butter cookie. Jon had the special ice cream last night, brown sugar, with brownie cookies. It's a really, really cute place. Good for dates, bad for groups. Even on a Tuesday night you can expect an hour wait for two. But well worth it.
And here are my favorittttttttte flowers from Jon for Valentines day. They are white ranunculus.

Flowers are in bloom on Park Avenue. Will Ryman's exhibit, The Roses, includes 38 monstrous roses, lady bugs, bees and petals that double as lounge chairs. The steal sculptures are 3-25 feet tall, painted with car paint and are the artist's "love letter to the city." They really are sweet and worth seeing. Makes you feel like a tiny bug.

Dreamland getaway
It was so cold as we turned the corner to Elizabeth Street. But walking into Tacombi was like walking down a little street, tucked away in Mexico.

Lights drape across the ceiling. Tacos are served out of an old VW van on tin trays. Metal painted tables are scattered between palms. For 30 minutes, I felt like I was on a summer getaway, hundred of miles from New York City and the freezing temperature outside.

For dinner I had the Frijoles con Queso y Nopales -- Black beans, plantain, and nopal cactus tacos topped with queso fresco and Auga de Jamaica -- Hibiscus flower tea. Mmmmm.
