The Smile is a cafe & general store in a half-basement on Bond Street. Dried flowers and photos by Terry Richardson are hung crookedly on the brick walls.
Here is why I liked it:
The ceiling is wood. I've never seen that before.

Best coffee I've had in NY. Almost had a raisin aftertaste, and I hate raisins but this was yummmy.

Cute crowd made me feel like I was on a movie set.

Fresh ricotta and cherry tomatoes drizzled with extra virgin olive oil & sprinkled with sea salt on multigrain toast.
