Yesterday, I spent my evening at McNally Jackson, my favorite New York City bookstore, for a reading from Sloane Crosley herself. I am just a little more than half way through her first book, I Was Told There'd Be Cake, and was anxious to hear her read from her new book, How Did You Get This Number. After her reading, she took questions from the small group - 94% female. She was quite funny in person and very down to earth.
