Many companies, like Häagen-Dazs and Anthropologie, have been turning their attention to saving the honeybees. Anthropologie is selling Bee-Ts which will raise money for the cause. Their amazing window displays also incorporate visuals that reinforce the importance of honeybees and are made of recycled materials like plastic bags and newspapers. How can we do our part? Buy organic products which don't use pesticides or by planting bright flowers that attract honeybees.
Today, I am also very proud to say I live in Virginia Highlands, the first carbon neutral neighborhood in the United States. Happy Earth Day.
